Take the stress out of heading back-to-school with diabetes.
Our back-to-school bundle includes tips on preparing for an IEP, 504 plan or individual care plan meeting. You will also get checklists and tools to help keep your child with diabetes safe at school.

We can help reduce the stress!
When your child with diabetes goes back-to-school, they don’t just need their regular school supplies. In our bundle you will receive a checklist outlining which diabetes supplies to send to school. You will also receive tips on meeting with staff and talking to your child’s teacher before classes begin.
Prepare to talk to teachers.

It is important that your child’s teachers understand what is expected of them and what they can expect from your child.
Learn what to tell staff.

Learn to prepare a 504 or care plan and to what you should say to staff members in a meeting about your child’s care.
This bundle WILL help you if:
- You are sending your child with diabetes back to school for the first time.
- You are sending your child with diabetes to a new school and are worried that you will forget something.
This bundle is NOT for you if:
- You have been sending your child with diabetes to school for years and have a system already in place.
- You are homeschooling your child and he/she will not be receiving care from anyone else.

Create an effective team.
When sending your child with diabetes back to school, it is important that everyone is on the same page. Make sure to meet with everyone so that they know what role they are expected to play, what they can expect from you, as well as what level of care your child can provide on their own.
