Free and Anonymous Access

This is the website of Diabetes Advocacy (“we” and “us”). Access is free and anonymous. At no time are you required to give any information about yourself to access the main website. The privacy of visitors is of paramount importance to us.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

It is our policy not to share any data that might identify any individual with anyone or any third party.

Advertisements

Our websites are funded by store sales, advertisements, affiliate marketing, and sponsorships. All ads on our websites are served by our own, internally-developed advertising engine. Third-party ad delivery is not permitted on our websites. Our website does host advertisement banners and sponsored links.

Advertisements are distinguished by the words “advertisement” or “sponsor”. 

We accept advertisements or paid promotional links for products and services that we deem to be of interest to our viewers and which are in keeping with our editorial policy of patient empowerment, sound science, and medical accuracy.

We will provide affiliate links for products that we feel may be of value to our readers.  All posts with affiliate links will be noted with the word as such.

Access Logs

Each web page access is recorded in a log file. The contents of the log file are analyzed to determine how many visitors we serve, what pages they look at most, and from where they connect. Individual session data is not kept or examined.

Online Email Lists

The Online Email list requires users to register before they are sent any information. Registration requires users to enter a first name, last name, and e-mail address. The mailing list addresses are not available for sale or rent to anyone.

Any content submitted to this website or our social media sites becomes the property of Diabetes Advocacy. We reserve the right to alter, remove, re-post, re-purpose, market or trade any such content. By sharing any contribution or user-generated content (including any text, photographs, graphics, video, audio or any other types of media or content) with this site and our social media sites,  contributors agree to grant us, free of charge, permission to use this material in any way we deem fit (including the modification, reproduction, repurposing or deletion of it). They hereby confirm that their contribution is their own original work.

Privacy Policy Summary

We do not obtain personally identifying information about you during your use of the website, unless you choose to provide it in one of the few areas where it is possible to provide it.
